This part of the lake is beautiful and great for kayaking and canoeing. Lots of backwater areas that the motor boats don't go. Below the damn is one of the most picturesque fishing spots in this area.
My father and I have been fishing here for years. I now bring my son and he enjoys it dearly.
Great place to visit. I always feel like I am on vacation. It is so great to see all the wildlife, beautiful lake and river. I feel so lucky this is right in North Raleigh.
Beautiful Place. Kids loved it and enjoyed it. The gate to the Damn is closed on weekends and Holidays. It is a little over half a mile walk from the parking Lot to the Dam. But they do have a parking lot by the bike shop that is a lot closer
