Great store for quick, last-minute shopping. Clean and relatively low pricing. You do have to be careful buying some produce and dairy, unless you are using all of it pretty quickly.
Amazing prices, great service and selection. The bakery has fresh items daily including some amazing bread.
This place is AWESOME! Cheap and good produce. 3 shallots for less than 2 bucks. Nice bakery. Good cheap selection of craft beer. Onion powder and garlic powder for a buck each. If it wasn't a 35 minute drive, this would be my regular grocery store!
The store is clean and bright, which I really appreciate.
Oh, and get a soft pretzel from the bakery--you'll be so glad you did!
Shopping at Lidl Wake Forest is a pleasant experience for someone who doesn't really like grocery shopping!
About 2/3 rds food related items and 1/3 rd miscellaneous stuff. It's kinda like going to a small warehouse. Mostly brands I've never heard of before. The store is new, clean and bright inside. They have a recycle area in the front of the store. Good prices and nice shopping carts. When leaving the store you can't go north on Alt 1 or west on Rt 98, that's a problem.
They have a reasonably good wine and beer selection, which was a nice surprise.
The only problem I have is getting OUT of the parking lot. My house is physically less than a mile away from the store, but because I can't make a left turn anywhere (and there's no real place to U-turn in the surrounding area unless you drive farther out) it takes me longer to turn around and go home. Seems kinda silly and I wish they thought that through when they built it.
On a recent trip, I purchased a few items that went bad very quickly. When I returned 2 of the 3 items (one I just tossed out), they refunded my money, no questions asked.
Only complaint is getting out. There's no good way I've discovered to get going east on 98 out of here.
I'm delighted with the produce selection and the prices are very reasonable.
The staff is very helpful and patient with shoppers who may not be used to this type of experience (customers have to bag their own groceries).
Makes grocery shopping a pleasure instead of a chore!
