Once you have a VIC card and sign up your email address Food Lion does not beat the prices and you'll via email their weekly sales add and your weekly free item. The HT people have always been super helpful and super kind, always with a smile! I do not work for HT either... Just being truthful!
I disagree; not some, MOST of the times it doesn't work out at this WF location.
I wish I could give them a 0, but my family and I had a terrible experience last night. We asked for someone to help us look for sodas in the back. The employees name was Nate (with short brown hair). After about 20 minutes later we saw Nate in the dairy isle. He then came back up to the front and ignored us and did not tell us if he found the product, mind you we were still in the same spot he left us in when he looked for the product. Later on during our transaction a couple of employees from another harris teeter were very rude to us. Nyla or Nya who was the cashier at this location was making slick comments towards us. One of them was named Janet who was dark skinned with long dreads. And the other was a black young man. They were making rude comments to us and then Janet and the young man were making rude comments to us as well. After our transaction we went to the customer service desk to talk to a manager.On my way out the door, an employee told us to "be careful out there because they stated they are going to wait outside for yall." This was the worst customer service ever from here and we will not becoming back!
One manager told me, "we can't get decent employees at only $9/hr. We try to train them but sometimes it just doesn't work out".
However, if you want a gruff, unhelpful answer, call the meat dept. They won't let you down when it comes to abject irascibility or their inability to package fresh fish w/o it leaking all over your other groceries.
a young male named jack was so kind to me and helped me to the milk. after i was done shopping he offered to assist me in taking my cart with all of my food out to my car. Jack deserves a promotion!
Obviously, this wasn't an answer to my question, it was simply a way for the surly jerk in the butcher dept. to assert HIS decision; one which made the manager just groan in disbelief.
Today--2 days before Xmas--I called the WF store to ask the butcher, "Do you have any ..." to which he replied, EXACTLY, "we might when you get here. We're not talking special orders; it's first come/first serve."
I've been shopping this Wake Forest location for about 3 years now--having changed stores due to the horrid level of service from the HT/Brogden Ln store (the Creedmore Rd and Leesville Rd stores were excellent, but we moved too far away).
Great staff... amazing sandwiches!!
It's a shame the people are not as attentive as they are friendly, but that's not my problem. It's also a shame that this store consistently is out of stock on 1-5 items per week (only 3 times this year have they NOT been out of stock--and it's mostly sale items, not specialty.
This was the proverbial last straw. The last three weeks I have SPECIFICALLY asked for plastic bags (we use the home-shop service exclusively) only to receive paper. I frequently buy their "1.8# NY strip" only to receive under 1#. I order 4 chicken breasts and get anywhere from 1-5, etc.
I almost gave THREE stars but I think TWO is more appropriate because of constantly inadequate service and a total meat dept. failure.
I like HT; I like the meats, the produce and the prices really aren't as high as some want you to think. But when you pay for a service, you expect to be properly served. This store is a huge disappointment when it comes to service.
Let me start off by saying 95% of the people who work at this HT location are VERY NICE PEOPLE. However, 90% of that 95% seemingly can't read nor can they follow simple instructions.
