Just be warned that the knowledge they advertise on their website is not as extensive as they claim. I thought I did my research and picked a salon that would provide me with complete confidence in adding some dimension to my untouched virgin hair. What I came out with was not that. Not to mention the price I paid. I went back and had it "corrected" but after the first wash a lot of the "fix" washed out and I can only imagine what will happen over the next few days. The cut was good but if you're looking for someone who is experienced and can help you decide on a look that will suite you, I would look elsewhere.
Lori Hundley is the best hair stylist in Wake Forest! She has been cutting, highlighting and styling my hair for years and I follow her to whatever location she works for. Salon One 21 is lucky to have her!
I cannot say enough "good" about Salon One 21! I've been going here a little over two years and I've worked with two stylists (just based on availability)-- Nathalie and Kaley-- and they're both AMAZING! I needed some serious color correction the first time I visited and Nathalie and the salon owner worked together and treated and re-treated my hair until it was right, even though the work lasted until after the store closed. They take pride in their work and they don't stop until THEY are satisfied with the outcome (which makes for VERY satisfied clients!). Their willingness to collaborate showed, humility, skill, and camaraderie and my hair is healthier and more beautiful than ever before. I really appreciate their time and expertise. These ladies know what they're doing! The stylists are always up to date an en trend with the latest cuts and color techniques, too, and it is a very fun and laid-back atmosphere to relax and be beautified :) I have NEVER been disappointed and Salon One 21 has a loyal client in me!
I went there after not having my hair done for a while and needed a change. I asked for a cut and a balayage. My color is so bad that I literally feel ugly now and have to wait until I can afford to fix it. The woman that did my hair was clearly inexperienced and has no business touching hair. I hate to write a review like this but nobody should go here honestly. On top of it, she curled my hair "to treat me" and it was obviously to hide all her mistakes. I went home straightened it and was mortified. Stay away.
